The brief
Guests usually book a villa from a few photos and a site plan, and only find out on arrival what is next door. This design preview puts the whole island on the first screen as a 3D map, so people can see exactly where they would stay before they book.
What we built
An island you can explore
Drag to turn the island, right-drag to move around and scroll to zoom in on any roof. Every villa, restaurant and activity opens a card with photos, details and a button to reserve it.
Any hour of the day
A slider runs the island from sunrise to a starry night. The sun and shadows move, the villas light up after dark, and one switch makes the lagoon glow the way it does on dark nights.
A boat ride around the island
A two-minute dhow trip circles the island, and each place pops up as the boat passes it.
The design
Lagoon teal, sand and coral, with materials taken from real scans: thatch, timber and white sand, and thousands of trees rendered from detailed 3D models.
Built for phones and Google
On a phone, pinch to zoom and drag to look around, and the island loads in a lighter version. Devices that can't show 3D get a photo of the island with the full page below it.
